In Calhariz, turned to Rua da Rosa and Rua Luz Soriano, it is installed Caixa Geral de Depósitos, since 1887. These two palaces of Calhariz, which take part of the same group, had different origins. The first's construction was ordered by Morgado do Calhariz, in which some installations were established. We detach the Foreign Business Ministry (1882). Joaquim Inácio Sobral constructed Palácio do Sobral in the XVIII century.
